Heck, after following Overlord for quite some time, I thought Ainz rolling with the punches and making stuff up on the fly was absurd enough, this show just takes that same absurdity to a whole new level... and I'm loving every bit of it.

He is making things up based on the legendary stories of the world, but what he comes up with is actually a real hidden evil organization that matches what he came up with. But because he knew he made it up, he thinks it isn't actually real. He thinks he is merely play acting his fantasy while stopping ordinary unrelated bandits, but his fantasy is actually real, and he is countering a real evil conspiracy without knowing it.
