The closest Ive felt for a Jerid clone is Shino due to both missing that 1 shot, no spoilers but yeah. Id say Guel might instead be our replacement for a political figure which our main pilt will fight for. Due to his position, he would become a symbol for those that dislike the current management by the mega corporations.

2022-10-31 18:54:27 +0000 UTCYuri route or I riot. I will say, Elan seems to have been specifically created (cloned maybe?) to use the GUND Format without it killing the pilot. He mentions its painful still, so clearly the enhancements aren't perfect. Suletta, who appears to be a completely normal human, can use the GUND Format with no side effects, and has made it so anyone can use it within Aerial. With this she has effectively invalidated his entire existence and all his suffering just by her being her. So I get his bitterness. But I still think he's a dick, and hope this is the end of the SulettaxElan ship. Never liked it to begin with.

2022-10-31 17:26:03 +0000 UTCAt the same time Char was the Red Comet, and Guel is known for using red suits in this show. Add to that the Char clone usually having a mask, and the masked character being Prospera I don't think its accurate to call Elan a Char clone. He's more a Jerid clone.

Theres always a blonde like rival that is smart and either is always butting heads with the protagonist, in a rivalry or in very strange ocassions as allies. Char in the Og was the exponent of Zeon, the people fighting for freedom in the space colonies. His character is also quite beloved, it only got removed from n1 most popular character in a Gundam ranking once by Orga Itsuka.

2022-10-30 17:29:23 +0000 UTCLadies and Gentlemen, we've found our Char clone. Besides that, yes, funnels tend to be the thing that give Gundams the upper edge in combat performance. Theres outliers like the Unicorn or Turn A, however, thats my only issue with those system, they trivalize the skill of a pilot with the movement of the mech in exchange for focusing on aiming, even though the system itself makes it easy to use. Ngl, I would like this Char clone to get a good taste of Nanolaminate and Ahab waves, if anyone here catches my drift.
