I understand it's a bit late at this point... but still... Sure, I agree that the pacing is a little fast. And they did left out quite a bit of details (like our kingdom getting informed and sending Ernie & co. out). I don't think the invasion has been unexpected. There were plenty of foreshadowing. 1. Their mech get stolen. Let's get real, something is sure to happen down the road. I think that would have been pretty obvious. Seriously, think about it, mech gets stolen, there's no way the it's just gonna end there. It would have been a "the plot thickens" moment. 2. The Order of Azure Hawk gets named by the king to investigate the theft. And it's even mentioned that their specialty is doing espionage (that word wasn't used, but it's implied) and stuff like that. 3. Nora (blue hair girl frm Azure Hawk) 'enrolls' into the knight runner academy and formally introduced herself to Ernie while in his office. And she has been with the Silver Pheonix knights ever since. She is basically the contact between Silver Pheonix and Azure Hawk. 4. Nora informs Ernie of "something happening in the Occident". And Ernie even tells her to inform him when things get worse. BTW the Occident was introduced way in the beginning (when Ernie was still a little boy) of the series as "all of countries on the West of the mountain range". In my opinion, these were the pretty big shoutouts and foreshadowing. Just my two cents...

2023-01-14 15:39:46 +0000 UTCThings feel like they imploded so quickly, Im currently debating if even with more built up, things would feel to have more weight. Whatever the case, the CGI was still superb, the small struggle of the princess whinning definitely had the budget cut though. ;)
