2022-11-24 04:44:04 +0000 UTCWell, I derive my pronounciation from the japanese writing of his name, not from the english one. Kind of like this: Yuuhabahha -> Yuhabacha -> Yuhabach. In japanese you don't really use single letters but syllables instead. Tbh I don't know where the "W" is coming from but I can imagine it is something similar to the whole switch-up of R/L and B/V between japanese and english. those letters (L and V) just don't exist in their language. Also the subs butcher pretty much all the german words x) e.g. the final form of the Quincies is not "Voll Stern Dich" but "Vollständig" which just means "full" or "complete" and can be interpreted as "final form" or "complete form" in this context.

2022-11-23 19:56:51 +0000 UTCI feel like it’s likely “You-walk” or even “you-ha-walk” would be fine. So he Quincy powers made things harder for themselves against Kenpachi. Probably one of the worst to make things more difficult against.

2022-11-23 19:56:02 +0000 UTCAs a german myself, I just call him YuhaBach or just Bach like the german composer. In japanese it's just Yuuhabahha and since the Quincy stuff is all german inspired I think it's one of the more obvious choices for pronounciation (for me at least).

We will just have to wait till the dub comes out to see how the translation sounds. Each of the Quincies are designated a letter, representing their power. As Nodt's letter is "F" for fear. "Q" was trying to have Kenpachi 'question' himself about his abilities, but "R" roared out his eardrums so Kenpachi couldn't hear him talking, so his power didn't work.
