I'm suspicious because Damian asked: "Why did you come today?" and Father anwered: "It was just a whim.", so maybe he came because his son asked? Waiting for Movie and Season 2 next year. I hope SxF movie will be like Demon Slayer movie (I mean also canon) because the next arc is similar in duration to Mugen Train so it will be a good choice to put it in the movie.
