Some may think that because of Banri's flashbacks. You can see how dependent he was on Linda and it could be seen as a sign of extreme dependency or, someone not in a great mental state. Someone with some degree of emotional intelligence could draw conclusion like that of jumping, and at this point of the series, we do not ever see the moped actually hitting Banri although it was implied, just as Joe said, how would Banri know if he has amnesia. Who would be there to witness the scene? So anyways, pretty fucked up for you basically calling Joe, "not normal," when the viewer can interpret the story any way they like, and at least its not nonsense.

That, and the fact that he's starting to remember bits and pieces about "waiting for a yes or no" answer from Linda, which caused his amnesia in the first place. As Linda was saying, she blamed herself for not being able to answer him right away. Could it have prevented him from getting into that accident? Probably. But it would appear that what had happened with Linda, in the past, has subconsciously become a trauma of his, leading to him lashing out at Kouko and wanting to just cut ties instead of remaining friendzoned.

2022-12-28 19:12:58 +0000 UTCI kinda get why Banri wanting to not be her friend is kinda messed up at a surface level, but it's kinda only messed up if you define their relationship as a normal friendship. Being "friends" with Kouko wasn't really friendship, just unrequited love that'll never bloom but will never die either.
