I don't think they changed story ending. You can literally see same scene at the end of episode 26, but crunchyroll didn't translate mobile screen, so it was easy to miss that part. You could hear Yuno's voice too. We only got a little bit longer version of the scene in this OVA and little bit of fanservice, but I agree with overall rating.
