jost to clarify: Breaking a vertebrae in the neck doesnt mean you are paralysed. you have 7 neck vertebrae. breaking one of the top 3 (1-3) has a 30% chance to be killed instantly, but its very hard to damage them because they are anchored right beneath the skull. The bottom 4 (4-7) is 20% chance to be paralysed. the rest is fine. I broke the 6. and 7. in a car crash last year and thankfully im fine... i "just" have a numb left arm. Its not like in movies where someone cracks the neck and you are dead

I'm sure you heard it already, but Arlong Park is generally the take-off point (the clincher for most). After a while, once the ball really gets rolling it never ever stops, but it takes a while to warm-up, like any OP fan will tell you. I always tell people to give it to episode 38 before making a concrete decision as to whether to continue watching. By the time you get to the halfway point of the show, most of us never want it to end.
