And while having Fenrir with him solves his combat weakness, it creates political problems. He wants to be low key, but pretty much fails at it.

Those gimmicks are just lazy ways of not having to deal with the logistics of having a large beast companion. I'm looking at you Tensura, Card Captor Sakura
