2023-02-09 14:09:07 +0000 UTCAs someone who works in Japan in a factory with all foreigners living here for more than 20 years, studying the language and learning it through everyday usage is very different, just learning it through usage doesn't necessarily take away your accent. There are people who genuinely speak that way or worse and who have already lived in Japan for a long time.

2023-02-02 04:18:51 +0000 UTCThe accent seems exaggerated and unrealistic at first, but then I remember that a decent percentage of people around me can speak English perfectly but have a heavy accent. I myself had to specifically practice my accent a lot despite knowing English a lot more than my native languages, and still cannot completely get rid of it. I know others who cannot change their accent at all.
