They say only nobles who have magic should rule over commoners/non magic people. Whilst the princess is literally inventing devices that allow people with no or little magic to do magical things and therefore improve their lives.... the prince is such a delusional jelous hypocrite I can't wait to see him get his ass whopped.

So a close confident of the prince ordered the arrest of Anis. She might be the princess but she did rescind her royal claims. So in the pyramid of power, the prince is above her. Since a subordinate of the prince ordered the arrest, the guards acted and were more or less in the right. Only the king and maybe the duke wield more power (authority by the power structure of their monarchy) than the prince.

2023-02-22 19:34:17 +0000 UTCBasicly Algard who hates the relationship between Nobility and Commoners mad at his Sister who could do anything and would have been a great Queen who could have changed things, but instead she threw away that responsibility (yes, realisticly if you are born a princess you cant just be like nah dont wanna). In doing so, Algard had no choice but to be the next king, while knowing himself that he isnt talented (thats probably what he means he calls himself a commoner compared to Anis who is talented. That long convo made it pretty clear that he knows he aint shit) and people talking shit behind his back eventhough it isnt his choice that he has to be King and not Anis. So now he has an impossible task at hand but has to do it anyway. So he had to find a way to cheat. And when you have no context, cheaters usually look like scumbags
