I think 00 also serves as a good branching out point for the rest of Gundam because while it’s definitely one of the more highly rated, it’s a much more typical Gundam story where as both WFM and IBO have very strong, if not appreciated departures from the usual story telling.

This. if there is any series that you could pick next, I would highly recommend 00. IBO's ending left me reeling when I saw it, and if anything it hit harder this time around. Gundam 00 will be like a breath of fresh air - its highly optimistic and lighthearted comparatively, though it will still pull at your emotions. I've watched 00 a fair number of times through just because I welcome its lighter tone and how, despite being complex story-wise, it does get exaggerative and silly in some respects. (Also, you might or might not tire of hearing the term "Celestial Being" thrown around)

Fuck yeah, 00 should be next. Solid 50 episodes and a movie.

Last post because I don't want to monopolize the space but Ride was always a ride or die he's been around since the 1st episode and thankfully a couple of your wishes came true I'm still hopeful on Rustal which I'm not sure if anyone pointed out but Tekkadan the Iron Flower lost some whose name can be mispronounced as Rust All a direct counter to metal speaking of which he also cockblocked Mika on that Kudelia baby all my man needed was time edit since I said this was the last post if Iok never got involved with Jasley none of that chain of events is set off he's probably the main instance of a BS butterfly effect where everything he affected screwed us over

McGillis was actually a real one despite his crazy dream sinking us he never betrayed Tekkadan even though they tried to throw him under the bus and I think if he and Mika had rushed Rustal they could've won for sure and my boy Hush I didn't like him at first cuz he badmouthed Mika but he grew on me at least he got the guy who got him and Mika did say he was counting on him at the end

Daniel Gonzalez

Oof poor Eugene you were even hyping him up as the real leader truth is it was always Mikazuki all the key pivotal moments that influence Tekkadans future pretty much directly involve him Orga never would've gone against him and he directly influenced him when they first met Naze said he didn't want the crew to split up and Biscuit was trying to say something to Orga but it was too late Mikas word is law

If you liked this, a series that generally a lot of Gundam fans think stumbled on it’s ending putting it about mid high tier, I’d definitely recommend Gundam 00, which I don’t think I’ve ever really seen anything bad said about. Like Witch from Mercury and IBO it is a AU so you don’t need prior knowledge to go in, and being from 2007 it’s still a more modernized style of animation.

I would recommend watching a Gundam movie called Gundam Thunderbolt December Sky. Takes place in the original timeline (UC Universal Century), but surprisingly you don't need to have the background knowledge to watch it. It's kind of like an entry-level show for newcomers if you want to watch something in the UC timeline.

So yeah like you said a couple episodes ago we were actually following the "villains" of this story hopefully they get a happy ending in Gundam Valhalla aka the Buildverse

I hate Juliet acting like she did something at the end also what a surprise Rustal used an illegal weapon as an orbital attack on our guys and they still had to outnumber us honestly think if they would've fought straight up our boys would've won hey at least Akihiro has a cool story to tell the rest and it always breaks my heart to hear Mika realize that they'd made it and his final words being him apologizing to his girls welp better get drunk to watch this again lastly I loved Mikas speech to the troops he probably saved most of those who wanted to fight to the end

Daniel Gonzalez

the ending hits hard when you realize the whole time it was Mika's son looking at the only picture of his dad.

Zach Hampton

The ending of this series killed me for weeks, both my boy's mika and orga died ;(

TheMonarch

Man what a journey. It’s an ending that I didn’t want, but the best that can happen because of how they ended up.
