Don't know if you noticed but when Maria was introducing herself to the class, Runa had a dark expression on her face, perhaps the two have history? Would also explain why she spread nasty rumors about her. (I'm willing to bet she made the stuff about an Ex told her up.) Who says she didn't get onto the other fuckboys, what if they just didn't care? Besides perhaps she didn't start overprotective but got that way AFTER Runa was taken advantage of so much. Do you like stop to think about why characters do the things they do? Huh Rian? (Ancient Magus Bride.) I do appreciate that both characters are willing to defend their boyfriends/girlfriends honor and be so bold about it. Your logic about how to solve the problem with Mole Girl is basically the same as a school shooter....just saying. Also the Mole Girl Maria pretty sure she is designed in looks, mannerisms, etc to be more the traditional Japanese Ideal of Beauty as opposed to Runa with her more Gyaru style, and ironically Gyaru being sweet, pure, and innocent despite her experience while Maria is more the bitch meant to be a kinda of irony/social commentary.
