There's literally 0 reason why they'd be freed since the buyers were Siltvelt nobility, who purchased them at premium because of religious value (basically your GOD clapped em & bundled em to be sold), and they sure as hell ain't going to release racist slavers in a demi-human supremacist country like Siltvelt, because why the fuck would the nobles risk doing that to some filthy ningen which would just earn them hatred from the population at large? I'm sure if anyone was dumb enough to even think of that, the population backed up by religious authorities would chop off their heads for that type of blasphemy (so basically what happened in S1 in that 1 arc, but demi-human electric boogaloo part 2 this time), since they were quite literally sentenced to be slaves by Literally God from their POV
