Words won't solve problems......except there are entire occupations which are based off the fact they do. Like Therapy and Suicide Prevention hotline or even people trying to de-escalate hostage situations.
You also misrepresented the scene.
He didn't suddenly get empathy for Shy, and he wasn't moved by her perseverance and grit, what separated her from others was that by now most people would hate or show hostilities for him which he assumed was just his (understandably so) lot in life.
People giving you the benefit of the doubt when you don't necessarily deserve it and willing to see the best in you when everyone else does is a huge difference.
She didn't make him have empathy for her, she made him care about himself, he might not have empathy but he has emotions, he just has trouble connecting his emotions with others.
You also complained about Talk No Jutsu in the 2nd episode when that was even more justified as her friend wasn't even evil, or even heartless she just had trauma she needed talking out. What she did is literally no different than what IRL friends do, just listen and let them vent.
Both cases the "Talk No Jutsu" was 100% justified.
Here is what I think is your real problem, and this is purely speculation. At one point you liked Naruto than after listing to "smart critics" that explained why it was "bad" instead of critically breaking down their arguments you let them gaslight you into feeling stupid and not avoid tropes that are "bad" when it was just some pretentious internet celebrities opinions they themselves got from film school or wanna be film school people.
I know because I use to mindlessly just accept what "Elitist" told me, know I have more confidence.
No just because it became the popular thing to hate on Naruto doesn't mean the critics of it are right.
When Sonic the Hedgehog had a big failure in 06 there was a movement to gaslight people into thinking elements that were in that game caused Sonic's Downfall as opposed to you know....06 being an unfinished buggy mess.
So they over corrected not having "Dark Stories" or "Too Many Stupid Friends" in favor of ridiculously "Meta Humor" which was just self-depreciation.
I lived during that time, and lived long enough to see people 180 in the other direction after 10 years of "baldy Menosehair" humor.
This was a great episode, and I shant hear any late 2000's bandwagon "criticism" about it.

Words will solve alot of problems though. Which can be boring yes but it is true, talking to people is sometimes what alot of people need. hence interrogations, therapy etc.

because its cheap and overused. Words won't solve all problems. Your determination, grit, relentlessness, and passion won't make bad people that don't care about others start to care about you. Also, he lived his whole life without empathy and then suddenly this girl swayed him?

I don't see why the "you land one attack" is a bad trope, if the person your fighting is stronger/more experienced it makes sense you wouldn't expect the newcomer to be able to fight on the same level and they would need a handicap.
These complaints feel like nothing burgers.

I don't understand why people don't like Talk No Jutsu tbh. It seems like a strange and arbitrary thing to complain about.

Pretty sure in the last episode we see in a flashback with Shy's grandpa that her parents died when she was young.

So lack of empathy doesn't mean that the person is evil or that they enjoy tormenting others it simply means when they see someone in pain they can't relate to that pain.
Which btw most people that have psychopathic tendencies aren't serial killer or evil, most of them are just kinda cold and cruel. A lot of emergency responders often have those tendencies (So they don't freak out seeing blood and gore and can do their job without losing it.)
In Stardust's eye he probably thought he was doing the right thing trying to prepare her for being in harsh situations against opponents that would be even less merciful than him.
I also think while he is low in empathy its not like he feels no emotions, I think a lot of what he does (His philanthropy work) Is his attempt to try to get what he lacks.
