2023-10-29 20:26:50 +0000 UTCThe original LN is pretty good and I kinda like their concept of "divine blessings". They will talk more about that later but the whole "blessings" thing is basically core of the story and it's not like other isekai normal setting of "jobs" or "classes".

Compared to the other members of the Hero's Party who are super good at their own niche. His blessing is basically in the beginning of the game he is OP to guide the Hero along until she is strong enough and doesn't need to rely on her but in the late game starts to fall behind, hence the name "The Guide."

2023-10-28 14:29:21 +0000 UTCThis is a nice one to rewatch. Loved it when it was airing... it's not exactly "peak", but for what it offered, it did it pretty well. Also, regarding Blessings on this show, it's pretty important for each person, as it somewhat determines the path they'll lead in life. For Gideon, his Blessing wasn't as impactful compared to the others in the party... but he more than made up for it by training his body so he won't be a burden to the group. Too bad his insecurities, and Ares planting those seeds of doubt into his head, made him decide to leave.

Gideon looked like he was frustrated with his blessing not coming up to par with the others in his party and him not being able to hit ares put him down even more, he still shouldnt of left without talking to everyone else though
