Because the Hero blessing essentially puts her on auto-pilot, so the moment she BTFO'd Ares, it forced her to heal him because it would hinder the Hero's job to lose a party member on such great power scale as a Sage (Ares' blessing). It's basically the shit that happens w/ all blessings to varying degrees depending on your compatibility, but the Hero blessing goes always to someone who is 100% compatible w/ it because of the way it works, so it's essentially auto-pilot mode at that level of compatibility. I presume if someone randomly happened to be born as compatible w/ any of the other blessings, they'd do their job on practically auto-pilot too by that point
