also, no, his friend the emperor was NOT the real Sabaramond despite what your guy said in the comments lmao Sabaramond was already introduced in the first ep the second half/ep 13 when Polka explained why he unleashed his powers. Arius Sabaramond was the full name he revealed and he was the first ranked Byadian court sorcerer (Izliz, corpse god's master was no. 2)

This author likes to misdirect people, if you've seen his other works you can kinda tell. BTW Bacanno!! and Durarara!! both IMO do a much better job juggling a large cast of characters and a multi narrative better than this show. IF you like this show but want something better I'd recommend checking out those two. Don't know if you figured it out but the crackhead that killed him in his previous life was his DAD. Corpse God was torturing Habaki because how he hold his daughter to his cult went a little too close too home of how his own father sold out his Wife and Children (Including CG.) His friend was the Emperor, they literally said it on screen when he appeared. Even the stuff that isn't complex you just seem to ignore what's shown on screen.
