Frieren Ep. 11 Reaction [FULL]

I love Kraft!

Frieren Ep. 11 Reaction [FULL]

Comments

I would like to point out, I am not making a comment on religion in the real world here. Don't get it twisted. I am speaking in the context of this show.

One thing I thought was important about what we learn about the 'Goddess' is that Frieren says she has only ever shown herself in the Age of Mythology. The important word for me there is Mythology. Generally, that means it is a made up story lol. It may simply be the name of an ancient era, but just based off that name, I don't think we should accept it as a fact that the 'Goddess' ever actually showed herself or exists. I read this moment as Frieren being a little tongue in cheek with Kraft by saying "Your Goddess has only ever shown herself in MYTHOLOGY" but I could be mistaken. Although, we do know Frieren does not believe in the Goddess after all.

And he specifically addressed Frieren.

So glad you raised your score to a 10/10. I raised my score from a 9 to a 10 on like episode 9 or 10 as well.

Besides Auras "Auserlese" and whatever LΓΌgners attack was called, the pronounciations are very good.

The song that plays during the montage is my favourite part of this episode. Something about it just makes my soul wail. Might even be my favourite part of the whole anime so far.

Love that even the Patreon edit kept the fact that you keep saying Stark instead of Kraft... you even corrected yourself the first time and still did it again later on anyway... lol

Hey [Patron's Name], Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I appreciate the honesty and different viewpoints in our community. I might have muddled my stance on the OP discussion – my bad. I hear you on that, and I'll make sure to be clearer next time. And about the episode, your take on protagonists limiting their offense options is spot on. It's a cool point, and I'm glad you brought it up. I want our discussions to be real and open, so your feedback is gold. If you've got more thoughts or want to dive deeper into something, hit me up! Thanks for being part of the crew! Cheers, [Your Name]

He said "cya in a couple centuries", NOT a couple of decades

So your going to ignore the reason why people think the OP doesn't fit the show by strawmanning as "not liking the OP" and then flip off the people. Talk about Being Proud of being Dumb.... Anyway on the episode itself. I appreciate the sentiment but tbh I am think its a bit silly to limit your offense options for respect for the dead when your life is at stake. I know in this case Freiren was strong enough to get away with it but in most life or death situations IRL people are not that op. That's one problem I often have with stories about Pacifist protagonists they can afford to pull their punches and get away with it, everyone else can't.

You missed when Kraft told Frieren "You're young", which means he has to be ancient if a 1000+ year-old elf is "young".

The japanese and german pronunciation of "Flamme" are actually very close in my opinion. In both cases the "e" is pronounced. You can listen to it at the start of episode 10

Natsu791

I think it's really interesting that Kraft says goodbye to the group by saying maybe I'll see you again in a couple of decades. It cements that elfs in general are bad at understanding time for humans. But the other things Kraft says and does contrast him with Frieren by showing that he deals with it in a different way. For example taking note of Fern's piousness and making her a necklace even though knowing her for a few months which is shown multiple times to be nothing for an elf. It shows that Kraft is well into a stage of his life that Frieren is only recently starting to get to. Also, with Kraft calling Frieren young and the more mature look of Kraft and Frieren being more than 1000 years old, i believe he is atleast 2000 years old at the BARE minimum, probably even closer to 3000 years old or older.

fun fact those weird B's in german are pronounced as a "ss" sound

The special ED on the TOHO channel was played for the TV broadcast version only (iirc it was only played on the earlier episodes), and now it's released online officially.
