Love this movie!! i had seen it in theaters and i was blown away.. honestly i'm pretty sure since the disaster in the movie was a Tsunami this movie was made to symbolize all the people who are still hurting from these disasters it may have been years but "the worm" or emotions that people have from those abandoned or destroyed areas in every day life still flows out unless someone (maybe even themselves) are there to cherish, remember and accept all the lives/memories that are no longer in life finally being able to lock "the door" that has been causing you and possibly everyone else so much pain like when Suzume's aunt lashed out at her keeping those feelings hidden for so long. i think this stands even stronger once you realize Suzume gave herself the chair meaning that it was only herself that could of managed to pull herself through she realized what she needed to move forward and inspire her younger self that was scared and lost. Could be completely wrong but after the second watch myself that's what i got from it.
