Wheres the bully lmao

Leo

Yeah my favorite bit was the "he was supposed to have a traumatic experience before getting isekai'd and after that the trauma doesn't matter at all". Oh boy do he got it backwards lol

Trystan

i love this

MnHD

Just started watching... 5 mins in and you crackin me up ahaha "Where's the bullying? this doesnt feel right ahah"

Jimuel

Tbh, I would probably be pretty mad about being summoned to another world. If it was reincarnation, that's a whole different story since it wasn't like I was ripped away from my whole life on Earth and I get a chance at a new life. But I would probably be pretty pissed at the summons.

Kazuki Ohira

Honestly. If our boi can get as strong as Rose (being able to literally throw a PERSON with ease) teach him how to throw things. Give him a bag of 1lb stones or some javelin training. Him and Rose could literally just be standing artillery between healing people. To increase the gains introduce a lever like a sling and suddenly he is able to sling said stone or javelin even further, faster, and with a metric shit ton of kinetic energy.

Virtuous_Wanderer

I felt the same way about this anime. It doesn't have the typical trappings of other isekai. I hope it continues to be a fresh story in the upcoming episodes.

Between this and Solo Leveling, I don't think I've been this excited for an anime season in a long time. They did so good capturing the manga so far. So freaking excited!

GorillaTaxtiX

lets freakin goooo, legit subscribed to this patreon cause i saw you were watching this.

So happy to see this!! I am very very pleased with this anime adaptation of the source material so far, and it was really entertaining to see someone well versed in isekai highlight how different this veers in each of those "typical" moments. I find the king being genuinely nice anf trying to protect (not use/abuse) the heroes really refreshing.

Chan

Haven't read the light novel or the manga, but maybe he could do the opposite of healing magic, such as unhealing someone. It can be useful against opponents, like maybe negating the target to be healed by others or multiplying the damage the target has accumulated.

Steven246

This series needed a 50 min first episode

Donn

Great show almost as good as "Undead unwanted adventurer"

Elite cobra

I love this series so far

Madara_Uchiha_2022

The anime basically asks “what are isekai tropes?” then does the opposite

Michael

Literally the other anime i was talking about to. There's such a divide between them and the rest.

JoeFreshest

thanks joe you opened up my eyes to this good iseki

Dragon

You were thinking of mushoku creepyphilia were you not at the start? O.o

TheMonarch

lmao i know tbh only rudy and subaru have carried trauma over that i remember its not a lot of isekai that do that

Kyle

This definitely has my vote for sleeper anime this season was not expecting it to be a funny and actually enjoyable isekai. Especially loving down bad senpai and her humor!

Jared Williams

I love the manga and the anime so far is awesome. So glad you are reacting to it!

Jesse Miller

c'mon Kyle be better. I was implying all these trash isekai aren't the GOAT Mushoku Tensei

JoeFreshest

Usually healing magic would heal your body so much even the stress of training will leave your body weak nice that in this show you can heal and get strong same time

Dragon_Max

"in isekai the trauma is supposed to go away and not be in the new world." SIR RUDY WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A WORD

Kyle

Funny how all of your expected isekai tropes kept getting demolished. As for what to expect, the manga is pretty much action/adventure with a good dose of comedy. I think it's more comparable to something like classic shounen anime or the Reincarnated as a Sword anime.

OnePieceMan

This is a nice surprise. A nice surprise that the anime seems to be genuinly good. A nice surprise that you're watching it. W, we take those!

Ragon

Yes, it is different to the typical isekai. Basically, the protagonist is being trained as a front line combat medic. He needs to be able to survive the fighting on the front lines to retrieve and heal wounded fighters. This goes completely counter to the way a typical healer operates, so it is called the “wrong way”.
