Well they were origanally supposed to have 12 episodes but Amazon told them they had to cut it down to 8 which is why its just a tad faster paced then normal but how else are you supposed to build lore, character conections, storyline, character building and so on in 8 episode if not having a little faster paced and having exposition in the song in by the way which is why the show is classified as a broadway style musical.
