0.0 There is no way that isn't spreading all through the palace. A man of his stature carrying her out personally instead of having a servant do it. In front of all those officials. And that's without the banner thing falling and the all the ruckus she made outside first. The mens gossip has been fueled. Kinda curious if we'll be seeing the Emperors reaction to this, or at least the effects of it. The concubines too for that matter, especially Gyokyukou. She totally earned major brownie points with Gaoshun and that elderly woman though.
That one demoted worker, scared, worried, vindicated.
I read through the comments on Crunchyroll and apparently we have so much more to look forward to. There are 10 light novels out, an 11th expected soon, and this episode puts us somewhere in the second half of volume 2. 0.0 We have so much more!!! I hope it gets animated to the storys' very end!! XD

Or maybe he didn’t save him because he wanted Maomao to do that that’s just my interpretation for that

Someone(s) was dumb enough to piss off BOTH Jinshi and Lakan. Heads are gonna fly - and not just the guard dumb enough to bludgeon Maomao in the head.

We shared the same sentiment Joe. As soon as credits rolled, "Fuck You. Of course it ends here. Fuck You" lol

It's probably too early to say, but I think that Lihaku is more like Lestrade, and Lakan is more like Mycroft. While Maomao is considered as Sherlock, Jinshi is more like Irene, and Gaoshun is more like Watson.

"Oh, fuck you. What do you mean the episode's over?"
My response, too.

Also I think I’m that context it was actually a good thing cause he’s basically saying “I know you’re not the criminal”

He knew about it but didn't care to save Jinshi, because if Jinshi got clapped he could reclaim his daughter. All he did was help Maomao figure it out.

I was to think he's been testing Maomao in a way, seeing if she is like him. Smart inquisitive able to put the puzzle together with only a few pieces. Also kinda cements a high place in society for her if she is useful. I just don't think he expected her to get as hurt as she did

Lakan didn't do it, but he knew about it before Maomao. He was one step ahead and guiding her the entire time.
He was at the exploded warehouse at the beginning of that episode and saw the pipe laying on the floor, but left it there for her to discover.
He's also the one who asked Jinshi to have Maomao to inspect the metalworkers place and solve the riddle, since the thing holding the pillar was made from that metal.

Not only did nonone get in his way, they bowed before him. I think lakan was surprised at how Jinshi was with Maomao his face they way he was carrying her. I've seen a lot of people complaining he was walking with her. Like she has a severe concussion gotta be gentle with the head.
