I suppose Mikey beating Taiju's ass works too.

If he dies the future there trying to stop will be back on track where Kisaki blackmails Hakkai into being his puppet. Thats why it was important when Hakkai switchs from saying he'll kill him to he'll beat him thats them actually shifting the future. After Mikey beats him up I'm guessing he will be arrested like Kazutora so he's not around anymore.
