I enjoy the footman arc, it's one of my faves, but hat's more because of the characters and romance than the arc itself. The story here is a bit silly. It was definitely just a matter of ego, there weren't any real stakes involved. I think the purpose of it was to make them back off by hitting their pride and also protect their own. But yeah, story wise, not the best arc
