(IRL there is a mountain range called the "Pyrenees Mountains" though.) It's supposed to be like how "JapanESE" is the language of Earth's "Japan." But your chat was right: "Gometeo" is the name of "that old dotard" who teaches at the Fyatt International School of Theology. Hope that helps clear that up a bit. :)
