If you’ll recall, the Head Priest told Raeliana that the reason Heika looks like a child is because his holy powers were sealed. So when Heika suddenly unleashed all of his holy powers to stop time and save Raeliana’s life, it resulted in him reverting back to his TRUE form, which is that of a full grown man (although he’s still incredibly hot looking for a 150 year old like srsly). So that’s why he suddenly changed forms for seemingly no reason.

2023-06-15 23:14:49 +0000 UTCI don't think that Raeliana is dense dense, but more that she feels the Duke is suppose to finish with Beatrice, and not with her. So she feels like a homewrecker, which she isn't because it is not like she is supposed to follow the storyline of the book she read.
