Joe was so convinced that he was right about the object in Rudy's pouch lol. Just be careful looking stuff up on the fly, since you will probably get spoiled at some point. Hard enough trying to dodge all the people who are trying to give "info" that is "not covered in the anime" like it is already done airing..

2023-08-02 14:44:33 +0000 UTCAfter freeing Lilia and Aisha, Lilia is finally able to return “the holy relic” to Rudy, which is a pair of perfectly white underwear with a tiny nail-sized black lace bow decorating the front. You can see the box it was kept inside of in Rudy’s hand as he exits his tent at the very end of season one. Obviously they wanted us to believe it was Eris’s hair bundle in his satchel, so they didn’t said anything regarding the “white cloth”. However, Roxy’s underwear is the only piece of “white cloth” (that holds any significance to him) we ever see Rudy carrying with him at any point in time, so the sudden reveal of it alongside his flashbacks to Roxy in that moment are meant to implicate that it is, in fact, the same “holy relic” Rudy used to cherish as a child. 🤗

Kinda like he was clinging to Roxy's "relic" because she was the only girl she can look to who's confirmed to still be alive out there. To Rudy, Sylphy, at this point, could potentially be still missing or dead. And Eris pretty much abandoned him, so he finally let her go by burning that last bunch of hair she left behind. These anime that showcase a lot of mental health issues really hit close to reality sometimes.

This episode deals with trauma and how it's not easy to over come and how deep trauma can last a long time and even if you want to get over it and know the step you need to take it doesn't go away instantly. I like that they approach things like that realistically.
