while Leidenschaft does mean "Passion", Leiden does mean "to suffer".

The city at the start says ''Leidenschaftlich''.
The Summer god in Bookworm is called ''Leidenschaft''.
Probably means something in german then eh.
Looked it up. Means ''Passion''. Sounds about right.
The more you know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
While we're on languages, it's really funny that you say :
''It takes a certain 'Je ne sais quoi!'''.
And then say that you don't know, cause it does mean what you searched, sure, but it also litterally means ''I don't know what!''.
Just a bit ironic there.

A margrave is a feudal title. A margraviat (I hope this is the right english spelling) is most of the time a border region of a country, task to defend the borders, so the heartland is safe. Iirc it is about the same rank as a count (or was it even duke?).
One example would be the Margraviate of Brandenburg which was within the Holy Roman Empire and bordered Poland, later becoming the Kingdom of Prussia. I think Moravia (should be modern day Ukraine/Moldavia) on the black sea, was one when they were under Poland as well.
