The historical context of this series is a lot to take in sometimes... but once you get a little background on Japanese history during the tail end of the feudal era (which is when Kenshin was first known as Battousai, up until the events of this series), you get to appreciate this show even more. Heck, I remember the OG series was one of the very first animes that made me fall in love with Japanese history and culture.

2023-08-04 07:31:34 +0000 UTC12:50 Incase you didn't notice. Kenshin flipped his blade, and since it's a reverse-blade when he flips it to the other side, it's the sharp side that can cut people/things. And then he switches back to the backside to do the finishing blow

2023-08-04 05:55:04 +0000 UTCAs someone who has watched the original series. I hardly remembered Katsuhiro, tbh. Usually I'd remember a fair amount of antagonists. Also, saying this as a general thing.. I don't think "part of the crew" has to necessarily mean Sanosuke's gonna stay with them in the dojo and whatnot. He could still be their friend and come around to hang out, or maybe fight some bad guys with Kenshin sometime.
