I dont know how youd find someone crazy for wanting the people who tortured their parents to death pay for what they did.

Leo

I know this is very late but psychological studies suggest that normal people are very capable of cruelty. Classroom of the elite mentioned one such study.

Joe: "I don't remember anything ever" 100% accurate lol.. but at least you get to discover new anime series every week! The rest of us have to wait for each season!

Actually I'm sorry but that is very incorrect normal people that do not have a (initially) mental condition or trauma are very capable of being cruel to other people, most people that commit murder are NOT serial killers they are people that wanted to get back or hate someone important in their personal life. The first suspect of any murder is always a spouse or a family member. Also history has shown how many "normal" people have been able to tolerate and even commit acts of cruelty on others for much less, (The SS guards on Concentration camps after gassing Jews went home and kissed their kids goodnight.) I find it odd you find this concept weird considering on a lot of shows, like My Happy Marriage your foaming at the mouth over fictional characters that did nothing to you personally, and as assholish as everyone in that show is, what the faculty supposedly did to Oliver's Mother was even worse (Killed her and apparently tortured her before hand.) Oliver has only killed one person, the torture he gave was payback for how they tortured someone he loved, and he mentioned he was glad he "hadn't changed" so its easier for him to kill said person. All things considered it'd be weird if he wasn't vindictive. Besides since he's only killed one person the story is likely setting up how he might get progressively worse and have trouble holding it together the more into his revenge he gets.

I mean working this last week in this heat I completely relate to how he feels I’m gonna be honest

Godfrey is basically someone who has a cannon instead of a wand. Dude's all about power, basically 0 finesse

Skebaba

That's probably more due to w/e training he's undergone for these last 7 years (between mom pepsi & enrolling at Kimberly, so he would have been like 8 when the training started), like he said he was thankful for Darius not changing from the man he's hated for 7 years & all that, as it made torturing him to death easier than if he had changed or w/e

Skebaba

I wonder how he can win vs a magic supremacist like that Gilchrist old bitch, since she's never gonna be in One Blade One Spell range, as she's a pure mage, due to her sheer disgust at athames to begin with. And she has the mana pool to back that shit up too, whereas most common mages would get BTFO if they tried to be pure mages like her w/ their mid pools

Skebaba

Interesting. I mean it feels like they struggle NOT to mention Godfrey at least once an episode 😆

JoeFreshest

Normal people shouldn’t be capable of extreme cruelty and then going back to their happy little world like nothing happened. Psychology exists.

JoeFreshest

It’s not just the fact that he killed someone, which in itself takes another level of mental. It’s HOW he killed him watching him get tortured over and over again and getting satisfaction from it.

JoeFreshest

Oliver plays it cool though, so him being the killer is still unknown, but you’re right they will be on their guard now

JoeFreshest

This was a good episode, also fun fact: Godfrey the student president is the MC of the prequel of this series which came out this year.

TheMonarch

Why are you assuming how Oliver is acting is fake? Also he isn't a natural born talent that innovates he's a jack of all trades that just masters the basics of pre-existing spells. I don't understand why you think a normal person isn't capable of extreme cruelty, especially getting revenge on killing someone they love.

dpolaristar

I mean it doesn’t feel weird to me, dudes angry at the people that killed his mom doesn’t mean he’s not a good guy that treats his friends and family well. They’ve showed us that side of him before him killing the teacher to show both sides of who he is. Its not as black and white as he killed someone so hes a bad guy and anytime he acts differently is him being an actor LOL

Must protecc cinnamon roll loli. Also Pete's pronouns aren't "they", he uses masculine pronouns ("boku", to be precise), even in girlmode days. For someone whose pronoun is "they", you'd have to go w/ Carlos Whitrow (the student council person w/ purple-ish hair) Oliver is mid at best prodigy wise, he's more of a Technician vs Nanao's instinctive Genius. Basically he can copy & 100% replicate by-the-book stuff to a T, but he isn't a true natural genius like any of the 7 ppl on his hit list are (or his mom for that matter, Nanao has far more in common w/ his mom than he does after all, he's pretty mid-ish just like his dad (I wonder if that's why he looks more like his dad than mom, huh?), albeit legit mid mages would prolly get buttmad at this comparison, but it's true when compared to legit geniuses, no matter what the normie grade mages claim. Good luck clapping the other 6 now that you don't have an advantage of surprise, as the surviving 6 now know some cunt is coming to gun em down, and giving the advantage of surprise is a big fucking con when fighting vs a mage w/ proper time to set defenses etc, as you can see in any given series)
