Might just be me, but in storytelling I wish they'd acknowledge stuff like sano's friend and respect his decision...but nah talk no jutsu and EVERYONE gotta be a hero always I guess, and holding a grudge is the biggest sin in writing ugh

2023-09-09 10:43:17 +0000 UTCThe old series sometimes borders on "too funny", where some of the comedy becomes out of place and exaggerated. Also, in terms of fights, the new series is definitely more detailed with actual choreography animated as well. As for the old series, while it looked more cinematic, akin to old Japanese films from Akira Kurosawa, they did hide limitations in their animation budget by utilizing flash cuts too much. One thing I do think the old series still does better than the new one, though, is the soundtrack. The drama scenes felt heavier and the fight scenes felt more epic because of the bgm they used, which I'm just not feeling as much in the new series.
