I tried to translate the german spell Rin uses on Shirou. It makes not so much sense in german and english :X
Give the wandering bird the drinking water, that comes from a long journey. Use the bird frame in which the key is not been used. I am spinning the rainbow in a new himself. Cheerfull weather, rain, wind, snow, war, end, continuously. Accept, without having any other opinion, without falling. It accepts, without (to) fear, without (to) accept. Victory in a friend, who embarks on a journey far away.

Fun Fact: Fate was originally a eroge 18+ game so you should know how they share mana on the original gameπ

The reason Gilgamesh is so ludicrously broken is because he's the oldest Heroic Spirit. The Epic of Gilgamesh is widely regarded to be the oldest survivng piece of literature, composed nearly 4,000 years ago in ancient Mesopotamia. No one knows who wrote it, or why. That's why in Fate, he's called the "King of Heroes", because his epic is what spawned the IDEA of heroics in the first place. Because Gilgamesh was the orignal hero and humanity's "first" king, the idea is that he traveled the world and gathered riches and treasures which were the origins/prototypes of every treasure the world would ever know. It's the same in Fate; Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon contains every single prototype of every single Noble Phantasm that draws its origin from humanity, but his being the originals, are always stronger.
That's why Rin said he specializes in killing other Heroic Spirits. Because he has the originals of every noble phantasm, all he has to do is use whatever a given Hero is weak against. They touched on this in ep 16 before Lancer showed up.

All Servant abilities are HEAVILY NERFED versions of all the feats etc that the OG flesh & blood versions of the Heroic Spirits had back when they were still alive, before being recorded in the Throne of Heroes automatically by the world itself. So ALL Servants can use their Noble Phantasms because they are part of their own lore, regardless of if they are a Servant or not (if they are not, they are basically like they were back in the day, except heavily nerfed due to the Age of Gods having ended, which significantly dropped the ambient mana amounts in the atmosphere due to all the gods n shieet fucking off). Like even randomass warriors back in the Age of Gods who weren't mages, would still have abilities similar to magic etc, because that's just part of who they are (literally Built Different)
Also IDK why the anime censors that shit, but Mana Transfer involves pretty much fucking (this is kinda what they meant w/ "rapport", after all). Hell brokeass male mages often sell their sperm to more wealthy clans for extra research funds, because of the utility of using it as an extra source of mana by the bulk (not unlike how one uses Blood Sacrifices for extra mana in great quantities for ritual-grade magecraft). Technically you could also sacrifice ovaries etc for extra mana as well, anything tied to the concept of Life basically (so blood, sperm & ovaries/eggcells for example, there's prolly some other slightly less mainstream power sources as well, but the former 3 are most commonly used by mages. Oh I suppose tearing down Souls could also work? Not that it'd be something every 2-bit mage would be able to do, but end-game tier ones for sure could)
