2023-09-23 17:20:15 +0000 UTCYeah, Nanolaminate armor is a multimolecular strcucture that can be applied as a coating. Its main property is deflecting and dispersing energy around the environment making beam and plasma weaponry practicaly useless and helping against projectiles or large blows. Given how its easy to apply after battles and can be mass produced, it was a critical defense during the Calamity, so much so that the Mobile Armors ended up reverse engineering it, the only catch is that an Ahab reactor is needed for it to work.
