Generally speaking Date A Live is a pretty upbeat and optimistic show, so it's not really "trying" to make you cry. That said, Miku has a pretty sad backstory, and Origami's history was extremely tragic and shocking. However, I did shed a tear for Kurumi's clone during the OVA after she was consumed by the original Kurumi after her Tanabata date with Shido. The way she just wanted to spend some time with him but was denied any more than that 😭
