Megumi is a fav...but how she acted in the beginning always pisses me off

Lol they gone get clapped...but I never thought bout this haha

I love how throughout the entirety of this series, we just see a form of "corruption" within the government in play through how they often cut Kenshin a lot of slack... from strutting around in public with a sword, to even these situations where it's clear as day they were all capping to cover for Megumi. Sure the guy's pretty much a war hero... but jeez

I get wanting to see the asshole getting their comeuppance, but Kenshin sacrificing his principles for it... I want to have this discussion with you on the podcast I'm starting up once you're furter into the series because this is an interesting topic to debate. But I want to have it once you've had more context behind Kenshin's motivations for not killing.

Richie Roberts

its not even about Kenshin going back to killing so much as its about wanting the assholes to die and believing only Kenshin can get it done.

Joe so quick to want Kenshin to go back to being a killer w/o knowing why he stopped killing in the first place. For now it's a very deep and personal vow he made to himself and you can infer that from the episodes you've watched so far.

Kanryu said 'Help Me' in Engrish. Kenshin is a more realistic based anime. So when you get hyped about something and say the main character is built deferent than certain characters it doesn't work the same way. That Gatling would have killed him too. He's good, but not that good. You've been spoiled by too many anime we're characters to godly stupid shit. And now, rightly so, you expect it in every anime. But this isn't that kind of anime. This is a more grounded in reality type anime. It has it moments where things get stretched like Shin no Ippo, but no one is running on water, or blasting Haki, or pulling out Bankais. Though this is the series that Oda did work as an apprentice on. Also, once you get past season 2 you can watch the live action movies, which are actually good.

I think Kan'ryu is the most kind and compassionate character in the show..... He loves that Gatling Gun way more than anyone loved their spouse! :P
