This OP is probably my favorite out of all of this season's right now because of the presentation and the song. Chise modeled her clay weapon after her own magic staff as she mentioned that she didn't get to use other weapons before, and she chose to wield the clay staff as a club/bat as well.

She likely specializes in similar type of shit as Geordi in Star Trek did, she can basically see all other shit but physical spectrum. It's common w/ these types of blind powerful af characters after all, especially magic types. Also notice that Alcyone's creator was amazing according to her, and had white hair. This makes me think back to Cour 1 when ppl were theorizing that Alcyone might be Philomela's mom or w/e, which would explain why she's treated like shit like that if her dad fucked an artificial spirit he created or w/e
