2024-10-30 07:48:28 +0000 UTCRight the theory is Blackbeard is pretending to be a D. so he could never be the “respawn” of Joyboy or the one that Roger is waiting for.

2024-10-28 23:01:23 +0000 UTCThe "you're not the one Roger was waiting for" refers to the prophecy about Poseidon & Joyboy that Roger heard from the Sea Kings, who stated to themselves that it's still too soon, there's still like 20 years or w/e left until the time. And w/e they found on Raftel confirmed that they were apparently too early, so we can presume it's the same thing, since we know that Shirahoshi is the current gen Poseidon as per Fishman Island arc. So given Joyboy's letter to OG Poseidon, we can presume he might also work under similar-ish logic, akin to Will of D (we can presume he probably was member of the D clan back in the OG days or w/e, since the inheritance of the Will is a central theme of One Piece after all), so Joyboy will likely "respawn" just like Poseidon does, since they are clearly connected as per the poneglyph apology letter for betraying his promise to the OG Poseidon back in Void Century

2024-10-28 22:54:15 +0000 UTCWe only know Giants, then King. 3rd hasn't been mentioned so far at all, so in the future or w/e I suppose. But we can presume the other 2 are practically de facto extinct tho, since unlike Giants we've not heard of em before. Also none of the sky people variants we've seen so far has had as fuckhuge wings as King, at most they've reached halfway through the back I think for the variants w/ largest wings shown, but King's seem to go all the way almost to feet, so maybe shin length wings I'd say? Maybe we can presume he's an ancestor species for the other variants we've seen, on account of wings atrophying over time as the timeline goes further & further, which to me would check out since Shandians who were on ground level had the most manlet looking wings, compared to the Skypeians at least, so I assume the further downwards you go, the less useful such wings would be, so they inevitably atrophy as more vestigial traits for your race etc. BTW there's been tons of theorycrafting by fans on reddit that Blackbeard is Xebec's successor (as in he carries Xebec's Will, just like each Will of D has their own carrier even if their OG pepsi's, albeit some manifest faster than others, while some may take multiple generations to pop up again). I assume Oda will either reveal or nah if that's true by the end of series times, but the arguments & "proof" given out in favor of these theories by their crafters seem to be pretty valid, at least as far as my knowledge of the series goes so far, even if they aren't good enough evidence for a 100% reliable theory (by unconfirmed theory metrics I mean)

2024-10-28 21:02:02 +0000 UTCThere are 2 popular Rocks theories 1. Blackbeard is the child of Rocks 2. Blackbeard found Rocks’ log book and gave himself the D. initial and that’s why Whitebeard told him that he wasn’t the one Roger was waiting for.
