The double lines don't really bother me all that much, but it is a bit weird that they didn't just do Japanese subtitles with the other language like MT does, for example.

2024-10-30 17:36:12 +0000 UTCI was a bit surprised by the switch initially, but at this point I think it's for the better, at least for the anime. The explanations during volume 4 to the Japanese and Celia in volume 6 was condensed into one explanation, allowing more time for other stuff.

2024-10-30 17:34:44 +0000 UTCI would have preferred if they did it like in the novels where the Japan people learned the language before meeting anyone but I get they couldn’t do that with how they switched books 4 and 5 around. I personally am not that upset by it but they for sure had it go on for longer than it needed to. Going forward there should not be any more of the double audio thing, going off of what is in the OP everyone should speak in same language for the rest of the season.
