in the convo between minwoo and taemoo, that's exactly what minwoo meant. he couldn't understand why taemoo would go after hari when his social status was much higher than hers. its hinting at the fact that minwoo obviously liked hari but never dated her and only dated other girls with "higher social status" cause he thought hari was too "low" for him regardless of his feelings. it's also why minwoo won't break up with his current girlfriend and is absolutely leading her on (and emotionally cheating in my opinion). i think the convo was to show the blaring difference between minwoo and taemoo and how they see wealth and social standing.
