I highly recommend reading the manga. There's easily enough material for about two or three more seasons of anime. It also has some fun and interesting side-stories/mini-arcs that don't focus on Rui or Hina, as well as some cut content that didn't make it into the first season.

2024-11-13 05:21:40 +0000 UTCHonestly the people I felt worst for in this series were the parents - all they wanted was some companionship in their later years and Natsuo just had to go plowing both of the mother's daughters... to the point where they question whether they should have gotten married at all. Man, I'm going to have to go binge the manga again, because it got so good after S1 ended (at least until the final 10 chapters or so).

I like the uniqueness of the setting, I think the Character are good and interesting, there is a good dynamic, good Drama, the OST is nice... for me personally, for what it is, I think Domestic Girlfriend did everything right. I would REALLY Love a Season 2... because the Ending is so brutal... I just want to see where it's going from here... But the Manga is done for like 4 Years now, so I doubt that there will be a Season 2 at this point... And I am not really into reading Manga, but I guess, eventually I have to read the Manga if I want to see where it's going.

2024-11-12 16:33:11 +0000 UTCI did a quick google search to see if that is actually the case and what I found was a Twitter post from 2020. And Sasuga Kei said "未だにほぼ毎日のように国外の読者さんたちからシーズン2はないのかとご質問いただくんですが、申し訳ありませんその予定はありません。" Which translated apparently says "I still get questions almost daily from readers overseas asking if there will be a season 2, but unfortunately there are no plans for it." So it doesn't sounds like she is against it, even if she maybe wasn't a fan of it. But well... the Manga is over for years now... so I doubt there will be a Season 2 at this point...
