Teleportation is basically the transformation of physical things into pure information, then reconstituting it perfectly at the target location. The wormhole version is much simpler, in that it just folds space in order to have two locations be next to each other, even though they should be leagues apart. The funny thing here is that whilest teleportation is super popular in all fantasy types of media, in reality the application of wormholes for travel is WAAAY more realistically achievable than actual teleportation would be.

It’s seriously so refreshing to see that it actively raises its place on my list.
