I agree with you on this! I think Jaemi love him because he is so caring and kind + he was ready for commitment, but she kinda hides her real self with him. With Haejo however she can be herself and they have that chemistry. I find Jaemi and Heungs relationship to be kinda awkward. Jaemi wanted a family and she found a man ready to commit and was kind so I feel like she went into it with no romantic feelings.

2024-11-24 19:40:03 +0000 UTCi actually do think its possible because at some point, as someone who wants a family so bad she needed that reassurance and commitment that Haejo never gave her, Eo Heung really loved her and was ready for commitment, i think sometimes that can be enough to see a future with someone. i do think she herself believed she was in love with him though, i don’t think her intention was ever to hurt him like that. I think the symbolism of shoes kind of summarizes this whole thing, the difference between how she reacted to losing the shoes heung gave her vs losing the shoe that was given to her by haejo, showed us her true feelings. I think the writing is very impressive for these little details.

2024-11-23 02:36:11 +0000 UTCI completely agree with you. For me she loved Heung as well. Maybe not in the same passionate way she love Hae Jo but love can take different forms with different people. And I think being confortable and settled with someone is just as valuable or as deep a love as the more passionate kind. It usually is the one that makes the best relationship in real life and I think Hae Jo knows that as well (that's how I interpreted the "You're warm"). I can totally see a lasting relationship between her and Heung in real life. The kind of relationship she has with Hae Jo is great for stories and it fascinates us on a deeper level but it's not healthy in real life. I loved both relationship in the show. Heung and Hae Jo's relationship is also great. I would have loved to see more of the three of them together

I think she has a deep connection to Haejo with a shared understanding and history that causes them to relate to one another (which is more of a basis for friendship, not necessarily romance), but her love for Heung is a love for him as a person, not what he's been through. Unless you're saying Jaemi is using Eo Heung for what he gives her then I really don't like her as a character. I just can't see her that way. Maybe you're saying she doesn't have a deep sexual attraction to Eo Heung which when compared to Haejo, how could anyone. I guess I would need some analyst youtuber to break this down for me.
