2024-11-27 03:35:32 +0000 UTCHawkins is a slave to Fate, so he will never disobey his divination (which is actually essentially on Katakuri/Enel levels of Observation Haki in a sense, but in a more generic sense rather than specific (i.e Enel has huge AoE present Observation Haki, Katakuri can see 10s into the future) variations like that. He basically has a generic stats-based future Observation Haki, but this has the benefit of having much wider scale than what Katakuri can do, because it's not reliant on the user's vision unlike the shit Katakuri & Luffy etc Advanced Haki users generally use). Hence why he doesn't betray Kaido. And honestly he probably doesn't need to betray them as long as he doesn't go all in on this fight, because on the off-chance that Luffy wins, Hawkins is effectively free/can sneak tf out of Onigashima during the end-game chaos. Ergo he's staying still in case Luffy wins, but not committing in case Kaido wins so he can still just fall back in line & survive either way.
