Yeah it certainly felt like she had a crush based on how she studied him for sign language but her being upset seeing him on the screen in ep 1 had me questioning it

2024-12-13 23:34:10 +0000 UTCI do think she did have a crush on him but in his ‘guise’ to protect her with his harsh words he shut down the admiration and potential love there. What I really liked about this episode is the timing of when both characters came into each others lives because it kinda turns the childhood trope on its ear. Yes they both met as children but they both met as children after being traumatized and neither one knowing the source which is interesting to me.

Also from what we know it seemed she had a small crush on him (looked up, admired him) but his harsh coldness kinda iced that out from the start of the marriage (when they danced and he said do you want a tip, and to not be the puppet her mom wants her to be).
