man they really toned down the mom in the anime, in the manga she was a lot colder at first

2025-01-14 03:52:17 +0000 UTCYou actually nailed it, they cut a little bit of Inori's backstory where she gets bullied for being the worm girl. Someone says something like "I bet she EATS them!" They're trying to show that she's just bad at school, and generally unliked or avoided.
