He's a weeb and his favorite anime character is the main character of Slam Dunk (which was as popular as Dragonball) at a time. The main character of that anime/manga is a chunnibiyo. First time I watched this show I realized after the third episode this show is a vibe I can’t put my finger on it but it is a vibe for sure. Like it plays with nostalgia in a way that reminds everybody of their younger selves. Very well written
