This anime is such a fun mix of fantasy, drama, and romance. I think Prince Takaihito was invited to the girls night so that Miyo could get to know him a bit better. They have only ever spoken once, I think, at the party in the OVA. It also gives him a chance to relax after having to deal with all the crazy ministers and everything else. I thought it was really cute that they made him an honorary girl for the night. Clearly he has a playful side since Kiyoka blamed him for putting the futons together in Miyo's room so that they would have to sleep together.
