Gabi is a great character. The issue with Floch, is that no one checks him on his bullshit at the end of S3. The dude was with the scouts for 1 mission and thinks he can pass judgement on the Armin decision? Season 4 Floch is a great villain though.

2024-06-12 14:52:37 +0000 UTCHonestly, Ichigo bothered me less than Hiro. He was the one who needed to step up harder than anyone. Ichigo was manipulated by that guy from the 9s and Zero Two is too broken to act rationally. There's no reason Hiro should have accepted the group's decision and he could've just said he needed to talk to her. Instead he just sat there and allowed this entire situation to happen.

2024-06-12 14:50:12 +0000 UTCI don't think that "if you hate a character it's well written" is a statement I would 100% agree on. There are some... but not all. In case of Ichigo here, it just annoys people that she gets between Hiro and 02 all the time. And in my opinion, there isn't much "well written" to her. It's all about "I have feelings for Hiro" and "I want to protect Hiro because of it.". But she is basically all about herself, what she wants. She has no regards for Hiro's feelings really. Like in this Episode where she basically says "You probably hate me, I am fine with that." Because she wants to protect him and wants to keep 02 away. And then she just starts kissing him to try and keep him from going after 02. But Hiro is all about 02 from Ep 1, and he said multiple times that he is fine with dying if he can do it while being in a Franxx. He doesn't want to be save and protected, that makes his life meaningless. And now Hiro has even more reason to talk to 02 and be with her. So yeah, pretty long comment, sorry. But I guess that's is the gist for most people on why they don't like Ichigo. And not hating her or liking her is fine. But yeah, most people are just more on Hiro's and 02's side.

If they make you hate a character then it must be a well written character like Gabi or Floch and other characters similar to that.

And they didn't only send death threats to the VA for Ichigo, but also to Artists that drew her and the Studio Trigger since it's a Anime Original. The death threads stuff is dumb as hell, but it's fun to reactions of it and see everyone start to hate her. And yeah... I think hating her is fine. I understand where she is coming from... but man... let my Boi and 02 talk ffs. When it comes to which Characters I like, it's probably 02, Hiro, Goro aswell. And at the beginning of the Episode Hiro wonders if he forgot, but he obviously dosen't remembers that his Memories got changed after the incident with 02 in his childhood.

He got genetically infected or w/e when he licked Zero Two's knee when it was all bloody. So I assume him not being genetically a "pure" (if you can call Parasites that to begin with, since they are clearly modded w/ that yellow blood cell shit and who knows what else) human anymore is what kept tanking the scores given the way the mechas function on mechanical etc levels connections wise. Also explains why he can pilot just fine w/ Zero Two due to closer genetic compatibility
