2024-03-27 23:08:36 +0000 UTCIts funny how the wikipedia summary on some of these volumes/part of volumes explains better and has more dialogue than the show itself xD They did it dirty with so much rushing and skipping... I feel like there are so many worse animes out there that get multiple seasons and get better treatment than this show. Btw even some of the novel translations had problems.... but is not as bad as the anime adaptation case. Other way would be to watch videos that summarize the volumes (there are good ones, not gonna say names, not tryna promote stuff here)

2024-03-27 22:18:18 +0000 UTCI really do enjoy this show but the one thing I dislike most about the LN to anime is that it makes everyone see Kiyo as this emotionless, cold person who just enjoys toying with people and such. The final scene is probably one of my favorite chapters in all of the first year stuff because it has a totally different tone than the scene in the anime. He is way more unsure of himself and the chapter starts off with him being nervous. I would say they didn't do a bad job adapting it but I was just a bit sad to see my favorite moment come off with different emotions than I personally felt like the author meant to show. He's just a sad broken guy who wants to understand emotions that he knows he can't learn in the White Room and he's desperately trying to experience stuff. But I'm hyped for the Kiyo x Kei moments for Year 2 cause it's hype. End of my small rant
